Bio:
Elizabeth is a self taught visual artist based in St. Louis. She believes happiness is something we shape for ourselves, and that our lives are ours to build.
After years of highly detailed commission work, she transitioned into abstract painting as a more freeing and immersive process. Her oil paintings are created using finger painting techniques alongside sponges and brushes, allowing her to mix and move color directly on the canvas with intuition and emotion.
Her work blends dark, Baroque/ chiaroscuro inspired tones with vibrant colors.
Elizabeth views art as a refuge, and believes that when we have the opportunity to create, we also carry a responsibility to share it.
Artist Statement:
Using a mix of brushes, sponges, and finger painting techniques, I create Baroque inspired abstract oil paintings.
