Bio:
Adam Nisbett is an expressive realism painter who takes inspiration from the divine artistry found in the natural world. His work seeks to capture the artistic soul of natural scenes he has experienced while exploring the outdoors and the birds and other wildlife that inhabit it. His work ranges from studio pieces using reference photography done in the field to recall intricate details and fleeting moments, to “en plein air” work painted on site in order to better capture the appearance of a scene as it appears to the human eye rather than the lens of a camera.
Artist Statement:
My process starts with photographing references in the field. Photoshop is used to compile a design which I paint by hand primarily in oils on masonite or canvas panels or stretched canvas.
