BIO:

Zanetta’s work is a beautiful blend of color, texture, and form. Two words that wind their way through her creations are “balance” and “harmony.” Whether she’s letting color stand on its own with simple wire and connectors or allowing the weaving pattern to add interest to the stone and glass, each piece is a testament to her artistic vision.
Zanetta’s ability to mix soft and hard textures enables them to share the spotlight, enhancing each other’s qualities. Each piece begins with a plan, but the materials often have their own ideas, especially in the more complex works. The design evolves as she works, and when she listens to what the materials are telling her, the results are truly satisfying.
For Zanetta, a successful design not only creates visual interest but also invites the viewer to touch and feel the textures. It’s a supreme compliment when someone wants to reach out and touch her art.

Artist Statement:

I love working with wire because of the wide range of textures you can create and the intricacies of weaving.  When weaving a bracelet, I use a single weaving wire for continuity and durability. When setting a stone my goal is to use the weaving to bring out the best in the stone I am working with.  The personality of the stone will dictate the metal and pattern choice.
