BIO:
Megan Fox and Willa Campbell founded Stem & Star Nature Art Studio out of a shared love of the natural world and functional art. Willa and Megan create textiles, prints, and other products in a palette of soothing blues, using clay-resisted indigo dyeing and cyanotype. Their work is inspired by the natural world, especially the flora and fauna of Missouri, and many of their materials come right from Megan’s property, Blue Fox Farm. Besides creating Stem & Star products, Willa and Megan grow dye plants on the farm and host nature and mindful art workshops.
Artist Statement:
Nature-inspired textiles, decor, and accessories using traditional clay resist techniques with indigo dye and cyanotype, largely focused on the native flora and fauna of the Midwest.
