BIO:
Stacey Storm is a glass artist who is influenced by color, composition and texture of all kinds. She is inspired by the works of Mary Hong and Justin McGaffery. Nature’s paintbrush also finds a way to inspire her creations. She loves soft colors and often uses a teal blue in her work. She loves to explore new techniques to create art. Stacey sees art in broken glass and pottery and enjoys creating unique pieces by combining shards and acrylic paint. The glass and painting work together to create texture and movement in the artwork. The artwork is, at times, enhanced by additional embellishments like sea glass, shells, and modeling paste.Together, the embellishments and glass produce a textured, three-dimensional work of art on canvas. She uses an ArtResin finish that gives the artwork the appearance of glass on canvas and piques the curiosity to handle. Artwork is so frequently labeled as “Do Not Touch”. She purposefully designs her artwork using texture to intentionally evoke a sensory experience and a yearning to touch. Stacey has created many custom pieces of art for patrons of her work
