Artist Statement:

I find the immediacy and plasticity of clay satisfying; it is a medium of endless potential. Through wheel-throwing and hand-built ceramics, I create functional pieces that enrich everyday life. Whether using the potter’s wheel or building directly by hand, I focus on retaining an earthly quality using organic shapes and hues. I often make objects that can benefit people as well as the natural world, such as birdhouses and planters. These creations are an invitation to reconnect with nature in daily rituals.
