Art & Craft Demonstrations


Watch art and craft being created by the talented members of Artisan Guild of Southern Illinois, the Gateway East Artists Guild, and the Midwest Woodcarvers at Midwest Salute to the Arts. Demonstrations will be going on all day Saturday and Sunday. You’ll observe the art and craft process and be able to ask questions of wood carvers, potters, painters, illustrators, jewelry designers, felters, paper makers, weavers, and more. Stop by their tents during your visit to see it all being done by these talented artisans.

The Artisan Guild of Southern Illinois is a non-profit organization formed to further the understanding of and appreciation for all arts and fine crafts with special emphasis in the arts and crafts of our heritage (fibers, fabrics, smithing, pottery, basketry, weaving, leathercraft, woodworking, homestead life, and more).
