Miss Jubilee

Miss Jubilee has been entertaining audiences in St. Louis and beyond since 2007. Led by powerhouse vocalist Valerie Kirchhoff, Miss Jubilee plays an energetic blend of Hot Jazz, Hokum, and Low-Down Blues from the 1920s and 30s. Their one-of-a-kind repertoire draws heavily from the bluesy and swingin’ sounds of St. Louis and Chicago’s south side. Fueled by a hard driving rhythm section and gutbucket horns, Miss Jubilee is a favorite for fans of all ages.

Taleypo the Storyteller

Marilyn Kinsella, Taleypo the Storyteller, of Fairview Heights, IL, has been telling stories since 1981. She tells stories “…from nursery schools to nursing homes.” Her folktales come from many cultures, but her favorite stories are those she wrote about growing up in her small, Mid-western town – “Fair Views from Old Fairview.” Her stories are full of energy and a delicate blend of action and word imaging. As a full-time, free-lance teller she travels to where stories want to be told. Besides telling, she is a writer, published author, and keeper of memories. She has told stories to hundreds of schools in the Midwest and has been featured at many festivals including The St. Louis Storytelling Festival, The Celtic World Festival in Ohio, the Kansas City Story Celebration, and The Illinois Storytelling Festival. For more information visit her website at www.marilynkinsella.org.
